Yes, that looks much better. You might like to use the magnitude parameters in http://www.ast.cam.ac.uk/~jds/magpars.htm These will normally give a better estimate of a comet's current magnitude than the ones from the MPC. At the moment I'm updating it weekly, but the normal practice is once a month. Its not ideal for computer parsing, but should be sufficiently consistent that its useable. Alternatively use the magnitudes given in current comet magnitudes at http://www.ast.cam.ac.uk/~jds/
