[BAA Comets] comet images 20131229

Managed a very nice view this morning of C/2013 R1 Lovejoy between 5am and
6am using my 28 x 110 bino's. The sky was murky and I had to look through
gaps in clouds so not practical to sketch. I could only trace the tail
through 1.25 degrees with only about 2/3 that length being prominent. Bright
core with prominent outer halo. Tail still looks a tad curved to me. Also
picked up C/2012 X1 Linear in the large binoculars but just a faint fuzz
with possibly a hint of a very short stubby tail.
