While waiting for it to become available from my observatory I have
scheduled some runs using iTelescope T20 in New Mexico. This is a
reasonably fast, short focus, system (10.6 cm, f/5) which should pick up
any extended coma. Unfortunately this morning's image, taken under
reasonably good conditions, has the comet right in front of an 11th mag
star so the it is unusable for measurement but it does show the short
(~1.3 arcmin) long tail to the SE. No sign of any extended coma.
Nick.

It still seems to be quite dim - total mag ~14 - so I'm not surprised to hear it is out of range for even the most skilled for visual observers. I think Maik Meyer has had no joy too, Mike. May be able to capture some images tomorrow morning if the sky stays clear. David Swan
