Peter Barnes

As a child, seeing the Milky Way was awesome on a totally dark, Moonless night when the whole of Britain was blacked out during the Blitz in WW2. Ever since then I have had a layman’s interest in Astronomy.  However, I didn't join a club until I was in my eighties when I bought a 8” Celestron SE.  Then, a couple of years ago, on impulse, l bought a 60mm Lunt solarscope after which Solar became my main interest.  Along with the Lunt I now use a TEC140: Baader TZ4: Quantum PE 0.4Å: PG Grasshopper USB3.
