the name PNV J23080471+6046521, and confirmed as a new object by

several other observers. It was subsequently confirmed as a nova

by K. Imamura and colleagues (reported via vsnet-alert), whose

low-resolution spectra taken February 2.526 UT at the Okayama

University of Science observatory show Nova Cep 2013 to be a

Fe II class classical nova.

The discoverers report additional unfiltered observations of the

nova: Jan 23.411, <13.6; 26.401 UT, <13.6; 28.412, 11.9; 30.413,
