Help

Charts may be added, deleted or updated by a BAA Officer with the appropriate website permissions. Charts are added by simply copying the chart file (jpg/png/gif/pdf) to the charts folder. Charts are deleted by deleting the chart from the folder. If a chart shows incorrectly in the list or with the wrong name, then this is corrected by updating its file name.

File naming

Files need to be named as follows. The website will automatically add them to the correct list and display the chart.

The file name should be comprised of three parts separated by underscores.

  1. The constellation three letter short code.
  2. The variable star name.
  3. The chart code including information like size and orientation, using d for degrees and m for minutes, I for inverted and R for reversed.

For example, the 6 degree BAAVSS chart 035.03 for W And would be named: And_W And_BAAVSS 035.03 6d
