About this image

Eclipse observed from Panchargar Bazar in Bangladesh. Prior to totality the sky was largely cloudy and on the way to the observing site it was even trying to rain. As with the 1999 eclipse in France, the sky opened up momentarily at the crucial moment and totality was secured. However it was only seen through several layers of haze. I was hoping to secure an image of the Earthshine during totality, the exposure setting being set for this purpose. However I was not successful in this objective. The conditions were simply not good enough.
