A much cropped image from a 50mm lens shot on Kodachrome film of the 1999 TSE. We rented a gite in Northern France and were lucky enough to enjoy clear skies over the period of totality. Unfortunately my photo equipment didn't exactly mark the occasion, although the lower part of the image shows Venus approaching inferior conjunction well south of the Sun and a ghostly second image of the eclipsed sun reflected in the camera filter.

Posted to mark exactly 20 years since the eclipse.
