About this image

Alan writes: "Dark skies have returned to the north of Scotland. There was a beautiful clear sky on Friday 18 September, so I took the opportunity to check out my imaging equipment. After correcting a problem with the autoguider (the declination tracking was switched off!), I only had time to take a few images of Collinder 399, the Coat Hanger. However, I combined the data obtained with a single 4-minute exposure taken last September (with a Sky-Watcher ED100). Equipment used: Sky-Watcher ED80, HEQ5 mount, Canon EOS 40D at prime focus. Exposure details: 3 x 5 minutes @ f/7.5, ISO-800. Guiding equipment: Sky-Watcher ED100, StarShoot Autoguider. " ?
