About this image

This image was created from RGB data captured on the 29th and 30th May 2009 and Hydrogen-Alpha data captured during July 2006. The RGB data consists of 22 x 5mins Red, 20 x 5mins Green and 16 x 5mins Blue. The Hydrogen-Alpha data consists of 18 x 15mins and was blended with the red filtered data to enhance the contrast of the nebulosity surrounding the star Sadr. All data was captured with a Skywatcher 80ED refractor, ATIK ATK16HR ccd camera, Astronomik RGB and 6nm Hydrogen Alpha filters from my back garden in Derby.
