About this image

The occasion was the reception after my first son's wedding. The reception place is near Maleny, a town in the mountains behind the Sunshine Coast, north of Brisbane. It overlooks the Sunshine Coast which is to the east. Looking towards the lights of the Sunshine Coast the volcanic plugs of the Glasshouse mountains (named by Cook), are thrown into profile. This is a panorama of two images  of 28mm equivalent focal length and the join is faintly visible because of the difference in illumination.  On the left hand side Scorpius is rising with the milky way below.
