About this image

This image from Ian Sharp was taken with iTelescope.net telescope T12 at Siding Spring, Australia. It is a Takahashi FSQ ED 106mm f/5.0 astrograph fitted with an SBIG STL-11000M CCD, giving an FOV of 233' x 160'.The image was taken in HA, OIII and SII to make the 'RGB' channels, and they were blended as follows:R = 0.5*SII + 0.5*HAG = 0.15*HA + 0.85*OIIIB = OIIIExposures on each channel were 4 x 900 secs, calibrated with bias, darks and flats and processed in PixInsight.
