About this image

Since we've been running images of AR2192 for a couple of weeks, here is a nice aurora sent in by Paul Curtis.  Paul says "I’ve just returned from two weeks in Norway and managed to see the Northern lights on several occasions. The sun being active with the recent huge sunspot undoubtedly helped. Indeed, the night of 24th October was quite exceptional – I was at Tromso and right under the auroral oval, so the lights went right overhead, from horizon to horizon."
