About this image

This image of Ceres and Vesta was taken in 2014 -July, when they were <1 deg. apart.  John merged two images taken about 48 hours apart in the red and blue/green channels respectively, so it is possible to see the motion of the asteroids.  The images were  taken from John's home in Cambridge with his Pentax K30, and was unguided.
