About this image

Leo states that during the present 2015 Jupiter opposition he did not concentrate focus so much on the planet but rather on the Galilean satellites.  It is always a real challenge to image a hint of albedo features on the Galilean moons, especially from Belgium, where seeing conditions are usually less than perfect.  So Leo monitored the seeing carefully, and on 2015 March 16th at about 21h UT the seeing was excellent.  This remarkable image is the result of those rare stable moments and the patience of a planetary observer.  A high quality professional image is also shown for comparison and all details are on the image.
