About this image
This beautiful bi-polar planetary nebula is located in southern Scorpius. Although fairly bright at 10th magnitude its small angular size (only 80 x 45 arc seconds) makes it a very challenging target for which to obtain good detail. The central white dwarf star is one of the hottest known, with the surface temperature of 200,000K.
