About this image

As Venus leaves our evening skies for a while, this excellent series of images, taken by Pete between July and August 2015 show the development of the crescent as inferior conjunction is approached.  The change in angular diameter of the planet is quite striking, and when at its closest the angular diameter approaches one arc minute.
