About this image
On 16th September, comet C/2014 Q1 was passing by the bright active galaxy NGC 5128 and it was captured by Damian. The comet dust tail had become narrow as the comet approached the orbital plane crossing. Also note near top left is a satellite flare - three different objects in the same frame at very different distances!
Equipment used was an FSQ106 scope with FLI CCD. This is an LRGB of 20:2:2:2 minutes.
