About this image

Up in the predawn hours for the planetary conjunction and with Canis Major higher in the sky than at home, I sat in a beach side deckchair while the camera banged off some images for me. There was a bit of sky gradient to remove (the Med atmosphere is usually humid) but that went away pretty well. The open cluster M41 stands out extremely well.

I like any imaging you can do while lying down and happily sweeping the sky with binoculars. Watched conjunction, packed up, went back to accommodation, had full English breakfastt. A good start to the day.
