About this image

This image of NGC 5139 was taken in the Algarve, Portugal on the 16th January 2016 at 06:26. The object was approximately 5 degrees above the horizon.

Equipment used was a Canon 700D DSLR fitted with a 300mm lens. Exposure was at f/5.6, ISO 6400. Fourteen 59 secs exposures were stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and finished in Photoshop. No details of the mount are available.
