About this image

We don't normally run a POTW by the same observer two weeks in a row, but then it isn't every day we have a supernova in a galaxy which someone happens to be imaging at the time.

This is supernova AT2016adj in southern galaxy NGC 5128, taken by Damian using the remote 20" CDK telescope in Siding Spring, Australia.  This is an LRGB of 120/10/10/10 minutes using an FLI-PL09000 camera.
