About this image

Exceptionally transparent night in Cheshire, with wonderful naked eye views of the Milky Way. I took a short break from variable star work (patrolling for outbursts of dwarf novae) and decided to image a deep sky object. I wanted to test the Tak FS60C, which has a very wide field. M27 seemed a great target because of its rich field.
