NGC 891 in Andromeda

About this image

An image of edge-on galaxy NGC891 in Andromeda.  The object is about 30 million light-years away and was discovered by William Herschel on October 6, 1784. The image was taken using a C14 telescope at f/7 and a ST2000XCM colour  camera.  Exposure was 20 x 5 minute subs.
