About this image

Gamma Equulei is a peculiar A type star showing lines of Strontium and Europium. It is a short period variable with a period of about twelve minutes. I imaged the star with my Canon 30D camera, and a 135mm f3.5 telephoto lens. Images were processed using AIP4WIN software, and with some stretch of the imagination some cyclical behavior can be construed in the light-curve. No elements have been found for this star, so a zero point in the phase diagram was selected randomly. The amplitude, if real, is very small.
