About this image

Probably one of the most remarkable binocular variables visible in the whole sky. This star has a period of about 78 minutes and I was making estimates at a rate of about once every two minutes. I was observing for the whole night, and the rate of observation slackened off towards the end of the session due to the combined effects of fatigue, and observing other stars. Adds a new dimension to the term "high speed visual photometry." Five successive maxima were secured on this night.
