We don't have a stunning image as PotW every week, but sometimes the harder ones to take can qualify for the slot. Mars on 2017 April 7 was only 4.1" angular diameter but Martin has managed to squeeze quite a bit of surface detail out of this diminutive object. Mars hasn't featured in quite a while due to it's unfavourable location relative to Earth, so it is good to see this image.
