Lyra - Opportunistic Holiday Astronomy

About this image

On holiday in Devon, just outside Plymouth, light pollution was moderate, I couldn’t make out the Milkyway, but it was far better than I am used to in S.E. London. It was clear so I thought I’d point my camera at Lyra, and as the forecast was for no rain I left the camera clicking away in the back garden, got hours of cloud and 2hrs of clear frames.

This was a bit opportunistic so I didn’t take any calibration frames but am happy with the results.
