Alan Heath, former Saturn Section Director (1964-1994), who can still give a first class talk and captivate an audience despite being in his mid-80s. A talk to Nottingham Astronomical Society on the use of colour filters in observational astronomy. A true inspiration to us all.

Excellent to see Alan is still giving talks. Must have been a wonderful evening with many words of wisdom. Wish I could have been there.

What a pity I missed this. He's such a great orator, with a wealth of knowledge and experience to support his words. Humble, approachable and generous with his time too. I hope not to miss his next talk. I fully suggest that, if you haven't already, you go to see him - and have an engaging chat afterwards!
