Metal frame of observatory completed

Two views of the completed metal framework. The two upper shells shown here are clamped together and the temporary internal metal support structure is still in place. Some of the corner edges have been fitted with bevelled oak -- a few more to do. Thin metal panels will be glued onto the flat metal and bevelled wooden edges once the internal supports have been removed. Finally the aluminium panels will be abraded then coated with polyester resin.
