At 2025 UT I went out to check the night sky in Mojacar (Latitude +37.140278 degrees , Longitude -1.850733 degrees.) to be greeted by an almost deafening sound of cicadas and looking towards the Sierra Cabrera mountain range an immediate bright meteor flashing vertically down one third of the way from Altair to Vega , these stars joined by an invisible, almost horizontal line. Mojacar is a very light polluted area but remarkably I could still see a hazy Andromeda galaxy with the naked eye and as a bright fuzzy smear through my 8X30 Zeiss binoculars. I spotted M31 without having to go through my usual routine of starting at Alpheratz and counting 1,2,3 stars left then 1,2,3 stars up to get close to it. I tried to spot M57 through my binoculars between Sheliak and Sulafat but at magnitude 8.8 it was too faint. The W of Cassiopeia was near vertical to the North of Andromeda.
