About this image

This asteroid passed within 50000 km of Earth on 12th October 2017 at approximately 06:00 UT. This image was taken ~8 hours before closest approach using iTelescope T18 in Spain when at an altitude of 35° and a distance of 180,000 km or 0.47 lunar distance. Magnitude ~14. Single 60s exposure.
