About this image

I was reminded how beautiful M27 was at Kellingheath star party. In a mid-sized Dob (300mm F4) I was really struck by how bright the oval shape is with the ‘apple core shape’ we commonly think of being drowned out by the overall oval. If I remove the saturation in this image it is much as I remember at the eyepiece.
