About this image

Probably the first image taken through this scope. Dennis Liebenberg, the lodge manager lives under the darkest skies imaginable and uses his Williams Optic GT 102 Triplet APO F/6.9 with a 2 inch tube, mounted on a Celestron VX Equatorial mount to show the night sky to his visitors. It has a permanent pier but he sets up the OTA each evening it is used. The full scale image shows that the scope isn't perfectly polar aligned  - but it is plenty good enough for visual use. I'll have to see if I can give him advice to improve the alignment.
