The Leonids are expected to produce low rates over the next few years. This week the shower maximum should occur on the night of November 17.

There is a chance of an occasional bright one and this mag -2.5 Leonid was captured as it shot across Auriga in the twilight sky. The image has been rotated to display the constellation to better effect.
