About this image

Computer clock was sync'ed to time.nist.gov just prior to observing. I stacked three five-second frames centred on 21:00:08 UT on 01/01/2018. I astrometrically reduced the image and to my surprise found that the position of the object in my image was way off that predicted by the MPC (nearly two arcmin in RA and Dec). Fortunately, my position was much closer to that on the JPL Horizons website - so I'm less worried than I was. Also a major plus: I've completely solved the fixed pattern noise problem (horizontal bands gone!)
