About this image

Another unfinished project! Data collected in one night. It clearly demands my first attempt at a mosaic but will have to wait for next winter.

A quick process in Pixinsight, post-processing just curves to enhance contrast and a touch of noise reduction.

Much larger than the apparent size of the full moon and at 5,200 light years distant it must be really huge.
