Image is from 1978 - Yes 40 years old!

It seemed like a good idea at the time and it failed because the flatness of the quarter inch plate mirror was not sufficient to produce sharp images. Okay there was a minor reflection from the front surface of the glass and typical mirror left to right swap, but the main issue was the quality of the image.

I had mounted it on a modified 'Unitron' spotting scope mount, with slow motion controls and all this worked okay but the image produced was not satisfactory. So that was the end of it. Some things work, some don't.

I unearthed a few slides of this device when I was researching other historical stuff.
