Lenticular Clouds off Cape Horn

About this image

Photo was taken in 2001.  This is not a particularly good example but these lens like lenticular clouds form in this area from the interaction of prevailing winds and the mountains.  In fact they are quite common in the Patagonia area.  This image is from a cruise ship off Cape Horn. I apologise for the non-astronomical nature of the last two images, but anyone who has a keen eye for the sky will encounter such phenomena from time to time and I consider it to be worthy of note.
