The Bubble Nebula

About this image

An H-II emission nebula in Cassiopeia, the bubble is formed by the powerful stellar winds from a massive hot central star. It is expanding into a surrounding hydrogen cloud which is glowing in the radiation from the star. The bubble is around 4 light years across.
