About this image

This young open cluster contains three Cepheid variables. Two of them, CE Cas A and CE Cas B, are separated only by 5 arcsec and are not resolved on this image where each pixel is 1.4 arcsec across. The third is CF Cas.  Another indicated star, QX Cas, is an Algol-like eclipsing variable.
