About this image

Sometimes I go browsing though the member's pages to see what gems are lying there undiscovered - and it often produces a great result.  I chose to take a peek this week, and found this treasure on Steve Knight's members page.  He apologises for a dirty sensor, but it in no way detracts from the quality of the image.  We are used to seeing "up close and personal" images of specific objects, so sometimes it is nice to stand back and see the wider sky, especially when it shows an object in the way it would appear if only our eyes could "see" across a wider spectral range.
