About this image

The vicinity of McNeils nebula shows the merest hint (low SNR) of the two bright spots normally seenat the end of the nebula when its bright.

But even this took some doing. This image is more than an hours worth of imaging on a moonless night using the 11". Not the most transparent night and a bit windy (so no long exposures), but not bad and Orion as high as it gets in the UK.

The main body of M78 is off the top of the frame.
