About this image

This version features the Hydrogen alpha data integrated with the Red subframes. I've also tried to enhance detail and colour balance in this image.

Fabulous image!  I took 40 x 120sec frames of NGC 2264 last night using my 77mm achromat, but couldn't extract anything remotely like your image.  Perhaps I should move to Dartmoor... :)

Many thanks Les. Dartmoor is indeed an excellent place for astronomy! Happily, my observatory is located under Bortle class 4 skies (with relatively little local light pollution) which makes broadband imaging much more user-friendly. On the night I collected the subframes for this image, my Sky Quality Meter indicated a sky brightness at the zenith of 21.07 magnitudes/square arc second.
