Crescent Moon and Saturn

About this image

A view of the thin waning crescent Moon and Saturn shortly after Saturn emerged from occultation this morning. Unfortunately I was unable to see the actual reappearance as the Moon was then very low in the morning sky and hidden behind a cloudbank.  There is a series of lunar occultations of Saturn this year but unfortunately this is the only one visible from the UK and even then at very low altitude in the dawn sky, and only from SE England.
