About this image

After a great early part of Venus's current western elongation it now languishes low in the eastern sky for a very short period before sunrise at northern temperate latitudes. I did manage to see it as a naked eye object towards the end of March from SW France although the extra 5 deg of ecliptic altitude compared to southern England may well help. The planet is visible just to the right of the TV aerial on our neighbour's roof.
