About this image

Mars, the Pleiades and the California Nebula, taken on 2019-04-04.

At this time of year, Taurus sets quite early so getting a good image was difficult, in the end Astro Pixel Processor came to the rescue removing all the gradients that were in the image as a result of the low elevation.

There appears to be some dark nebulosity bisecting M45 and the California Nebula, does any one know if this is real or a processing artifact?
