About this image

After a seemingly long period of solar sunspot inactivity, I noticed via SolarHam that sunspot 2738 is visible and managed to obtain this image.

I'm sure that it must be possible to obtain higher-quality images using projection; one difficulty is not being able to precisely align the camera with the projection surface (a problem which does not occur with the back-projection solar funnel) although this does not seem apparent in the image I obtained today. But there are other issues . . .

I am contemplating building a projection box as described by Bob Oseman in his article 'A Cardboard Solar Projection Box' to see if this yields better images.  However, I have a variety of 'technical' queries about solar projection which I could perhaps best pose via a Forum post.
