About this image

The Menelaus rilles are located on an elongated part of slighly elevated terrain. Two domes are bisected by a rille cutting their summits. Menelaus 1 has an elongated base area of 10 x 16 km, while the dome Menelaus 2 has an elongated base area of 13 x 16 km. Image made on May 10 2019 from Rome. The height of the dome Menelaus 1 was determined to 180 ± 20 m, resulting in an average slope of 1.6° ± 0.10°. The height of the dome Menelaus 2 was determined to 110 ± 15 m, yielding a slope of 0.9° ± 0.10°.
