About this image

A nice display of NLC in a CLEAR sky for a change. Decided to cycle out to the country - passed by a police car so headed into a barley field and set the camera up behind a huge mountain of cow dung. No sane human would go exploring there in the middle of the night so I felt very safe. Sounds heard: A Tawny Owl hooting, a distant Sedge Warbler began singing his jazzy notes and may have heard a snipe briefly drumming. Also heard the voices of two humans but they were far away in the still night.
