Apollo 11 50th anniversary half dollar coin

During a business trip to Washington DC this week, I had a chance to visit the National Air & Space Museum.

Lots on Apollo 11 of course, but I found the most interesting thing was Neil Armstrong’s tool bag. It only came to light after he died in 2012 – his wife found it in the wardrobe.

Whilst there I picked up an Apollo 11 50th anniversary half dollar coin for my collection
